Found the Perfect Job!

I think I may have found the perfect job! Now to prepare! When job hunting I stopped by the Employment Center again, and noticed a very interesting advertisement for Road Runner Transport. It looked perfect for me! So now I must recreate my Resume and get it into the manager at Road Runner Transport. Transport Truck, here I come!

Layoff Notice. What to do?!

I recently received a layoff notice from my employer, Daisy Produce Distributors. She handed it to me and I opened it immediately. I was devastated. A job loss due to the environment, loss of crops meant less drivers need. So they downsized their workers. I was lost to think of where we would get out money now. Without me having a job, my husband started looking into jobs around the community. Better paying than being a child giver. I went down to the Employment Center searching for a job. There I met 3 people who were recently laid off for environmental issues as well. None quite the same but each with their own unique story. It was wonderful to talk to them, without a job, just like me. Mike told me, "Don't worry about it. I am sure we will all find work shortly. Don't feel sad. We will recover and be back on our feet very soon!". He was a nice guy, and very comforting to the fact that we were all without a job. Sugarcane announced that she was going job hunting the next day, and thought she had already found a job that was perfect for her. I am feeling much more confident now that I have talked to others in my position! Tomorrow I shall go job hunting!

Our cat

This is our cat, Shanda. She was named after an old friend. She is very fluffy, and very cuddly. She can be very lazy, but when she is out in the field she love to frolic around through the tall grass. Also, she loves to chase butterflies, and pounce at the horses, though they get annoyed by her often. She loves to sleep next to our daughter, Andy, which they both love. I have had her since I moved out, which has been about 5 years. She loves new people, although has never been fond of Wilhelm, though they get along in the end. Children have always been her closest friends, and she loves to cuddle with them, which always pleases them. She is a part of our family.

This is our puppy, Ruffus! He is a chocolate lab. He is now about 2 years old, we bought him shortly after our daughter was born. This picture is from when we first bought him, and he has grown a lot since. He is very well behaved and likes to help us with the animals, or so he tries. He loves running in the field, and always protects our daughter when she is outside. Once she was running towards the cows, and was about to crash into the nastiest one, Ruffus ran out and herded her back towards to house. He is our little hero. He is loved and cared for in our family, and when the night comes he sleeps at the end of our bed on his own personal dog bed. He has all of his shots and is as healthy as can be. He weighs approximatly 70 pounds, and has grown up past my knee. He is the greatest dog we could ask for!

Our chickens

These are our chickens. We own about 2 dozen. It takes lots of chicken feed to feed them all. We raise them for their eggs and their delicious meat. Chicken has always been my favourite meat, although killing them is not my job. I could never do it. That is Wilhelm's job. They are not very friendly, so we avoid leaving our daughter alone with them. The second one from the right is now pregnant, so some cute little yellow chicks are soon to be running about.

Our horses

These are our horses, we have only 2, of which we enjoy riding through the fields behind our house. They love to get out, and trot around, exploring the area we live near. They are very well trained, and even our daughter sometimes comes riding with us, and sits nicely in front of myself or Wilhelm. They are beautiful horses. The white one is my husbands, and the brown one is mine. The white one is named Spirit, and the brown one is named Hershey.

Our piggies

These are our pigs when they were just little piglets, now they are grown and fat, but they were once very adorable. The mother pig, the one on the right, is now pregnant, and so there shall be more piglets to come shortly. As a child I had always wanted a pet pig, so once our barn was built, they were our first purchase. They are wonderful pets, though they usually smell terrible!
